haha i can't say i've accomplished ANY
i'm like, ORD-ed but haven't ORD-ed...zzz
sigh how can i let my mood remain like this after ORD?
i must beat this procrastination bug
the only gd side is that i've organised myself
now for the hard part...actually doing things...sigh

more thoughts over the days' events

on saturday last once again i was at marina bay platform for BMT parade
suddenly i realised that i've always been here as a performer
wondered what it would be like as an audience, a spectator
up there in the stands watching a show in the atmosphere of excitement
i've been frequent-ing the platform for NDP, and since last year's BMT parade
and it's all thanks to being in SAF band
maybe next time i'm back at the platform i'll be able to catch a show

speaking of show
i also realised i haven't watch any CO concert in a freaking long time...=(
i think it's mainly because my main concert partner mr pohzy is so busy
i don't blame him, choingswa is no joke
POHZY I MISS YOU LIKE MAD MAN
let's go dinner or concert sometime soon!

yes i've been severely infected by the kpop bug
and yeah i'm suddenly so concerned about when music bank is showing on tv

if i fall, how many more would?
instead if i keep smiling and pushing others to carry on, how many more will become stronger?
it is not easy to carry on after failing
but it is also not easy to see others fall and do nothing
that is my mentality

really starting to hate blogger alot for a variety of reasons...zzz
number one would be it's inability to even PUBLISH POST

there are some restrictions which are really irking me increasing everytime i meet the issues

still cant get down to writing down my reflections over the month
it's partly laziness and cant-be-bothered attitude which follows the excessive free times i suddenly have

some night of reflection of mine
where do i start to think?

in church today i kinda hada sorta reflection
i relfected on how the church will be in like, 10, ok maybe 5 years time
who will be doing and be in charge of things?
well duh everyone will say me nick cindy
and the youths?
whatever that's left of us that is
well, we'll be pushing on in that dogged way
heck, maybe we dont even have a group anymore
and who knows, it could happen to legion too
if it rose once, it can fall
we simply forget the reasons why things were as such to begin with
why we go to church
why we pray
why we even do the things we do everyday
like many things traditional, it's done so deadset-edly that we are so ignorant
so it's no surprise that im also such a blind bat

i really wanna say a big WAKE UP to all my fellow peers
stop being so delusional and ignorant
stop wandering in the dark and take off your blindfolds
stop choosing to accept facts just like *that*
no wonder we're getting dumber the more we study
especially us JC kids....sigh

the thing i like about leoson is we can have mature discussions that are not too serious
they are actually quite funny most of the times XD
twenty years is really quite a long time to live
there can be so much that has happened and that has been done

it's really a time to just PAUSE everything and reflect on everything that happened 20 years ago

the hectic life of a bandman begins
straight back from brunei was media brief reh on monday
then SAF day COD at safti on tues
wed was the actual media brief
and thurs was back in safti for SAF day COD again
gd thing friday was off for the 2 COD days
but....
saturday back in camp for another NDP fife and drums...
sunday rest again, save for meeting with ian and jeremy after curia on the legion exchange meet
monday had to come back to unpack instruments for half a day
and tues back to SAF day...full component training with the rest of the band
damn my arms are spent XP
wed today was morn full band and afternoon off
and now here i lay on my bed tapping away on my laptop cos of certain thoughts i had on my bus ride home

it really seemed like i left my life back in brunei
before the trip we were all preoccupied with rehearsals
i had time to practice my piano
and driving was still okay, i was actually getting bored with the test routes until he finally started teaching me parking
and i still had a legion meeting to go to

after the brunei trip, i seriously lacked whatever steam and drive i had before flying
my driving sucked according to my over-panicky instructor...in the past few lessons he was everything but calm and anxiously booked circuit lessons for me, since i hardly started it yet and oh wow, my driving test is NEXT THURSDAY PEOPLE, gd luck to me
im pretty sure i dont wanna fail the test
and have to keep going back for more driving lessons
and the more impt point is wasting time having the lessons...zzz
its just something i wanna clear asap right now
part of me dont even feel like retaking if i fail the test...like to hell with it
im not that fussy with public transport, as trashy as the waiting times are

and now because SAF day and NDP are full steam, my mondays wednesdays and friday are 6.15am-7/8pm booked with mindless rehearsals....zzz
talk about wasting your life away stoning and doing.......NOTHING
talk about de javu.......in the same state as last year, only last year i had someone to msg
now im basically spending as much time resting my arms....
bass drummers should get more credit, just saying XP
and SAF day also basically spells out less me-time and more time in camp staying in
which is actually what everyone else in combat vocations are in
dont get me wrong, staying in is perfectly fine
it's just that band and the bunk are like, worlds apart and thus immensely troublesome
and literally, after a day of hell, im in no condition to do anything else but sleep
entirely unproductive, unless you count my reading, and maybe i should restart my drumming practices....
nevertheless it's taking a toll out of me physically mentally and my-own-damn-life-ly

next is my piano life
ok, so it's not right to say i have no time to practice
but it's just an army thing i guess
we'd rather spend time stoning and wandering
it's simply pure bliss for us
most of the time nowadays, we utterly overflowing with our "job"
duties, trainings, deployments...
it's seriously a mind-scrambling thing to be in the army
it changes you in so many BAD way more than GOOD ways
i sincerely hope i keep the gd ones after i leave the army
anws, talking about time to practice
i have successfully forced myself a decent bit of practice
but it's still apallingly insufficent
i can't imagine how much more i'll procrastinate if i had an smartphone
i have to remain FOCUSED
with my exam due in sept, my appegios are still a joke
and my pieces require work, serious work
let's not talk about the dire sight reading

legion...
im not really happy about my meetings cut off
i can really feel myself losing spirituallity
my rosaries have become a scarcity
my bible readings have stopped entirely
and forget about the hymns
my church meetings have also discontinued indefinitely
i want to start it up again, but everyone is also occupied with their things....
great, no meeting, no self-enrichment, and almost zero resistance to temptation...
lord help me
time to source out for other meetings
wule, wudian, jidu, rongfu or quan yi?

and lastly my own selfish self
nowadays i feel so lonely
not that i have no company
in army i still have buddies
i still have my family, sorta
i just feel like i need someone to talk about certain things
like, moody and frustrated things in my life
basically someone to ramble at
SIGH
i miss the legion
i miss my daji and CO ppl
i miss my jc class
i miss CRYSI-Z
i just miss everyone that i dont see nowadays
i just feel so lonely somehow
i just feel like im an emo kid now
unhappy about things and keeping it all inside
kinda like how i felt back in jc1
it's tiring to keep a smile on my face
it's tiring to keep up with my life
it's tiring to even attempt to do anything i planned to do
effort seems distanced from me now
it just appears that ive hit a serios of tall and seemingly-impenetrable speed bumbs
and my engine is close to coming to a dead halt
and im only a push away from breaking point of complete madness
only time will tell how long i can last...

i just feel like screaming at someone...anyone...
feels so lonely tonight

we're like, 3 days away from the brunei trip and we have no itinerary or pack list or whatever info paper...zzzz

many times i look back i realise that self control is what alotta people think they have, but in actual fact they have almost ZILCH capacity
some people may say they are completely aware and in control of certain things, but it just takes that ONE occasion of an incident to smash through the walls of their certainty
tragic right? lol this sounds so sadoscarcastic

it's always a particular...incident which reminds me that however "powerless" we are as humans, we can always make a difference, and it just takes a simple initiative
was feeling largely moody at the end of the week(yesterday) but come this morning's sun it all just melted away =)
guess there's no need for me to be a bastard

emotions are constantly spurting against the walls of my head
i guess it's what being human is like

and today was my last violin lesson for the year
cos every other sat will be interrupted
thinking back, this on month was quite enjoyable
despite visible slack in my playing
countless thoughts....

jxy's in less than a month away!
and our program are half-baked XP
will have to drill myself to finish writing the programs
and songs...
thinking of recruiting ruth and reuben...hmmm...
brightside, my design for the camp shirt is done =)

now is the o lvl period, hope the others are doing well

week2 of adjustments

ok, have some stuffs to reflect on

ok, this is unofficially one full week of my planned life
and it's already squashing me XP

i realised that although i may have some time, it is also not utilised
and i hardly give myself enough time to rest
have to stop the inefficiency before it becomes....serious XP

first driving lesson was..a little unnerving
haha, it was actually kinda cool, but i have no feel for the gas and clutch pedals XP
and i consider myself not bad for stalling twice only, both when i was stationary =P
cant wait to drive properly....

for piano, all i can say is it's like any other instrument
patience, passion, and practice is what i need
for my violin and percussion too
jiayou jiayou renyi!

as for prayer life
i read 2 books which have been quite enlightening to me
you and why we do what we do in mass
which i read to have better prep for planning shen xiu programs for camp
i wouldnt say that im very much more prepared
but i more or less have an idea of what i need, and can do
and i should really stop finding excuses for myself
there is always time
it's only whether we seize it, treasure and cherish it

although it's not new for me to be saying i did a bad job
it's kinda getting me down

in church
practically everything im doing right now....=(

ok, i hope im not killing myself like this...

yes, this is my month of adjustment, and 1.5 weeks have gone
i'll be needing more time management and rest if i am to get through this in one piece

it's been quite a whirlwind since september ended
the first week of october was off, so yup nothing
get called back for the COG XP
so went for my lesson "first"s'
there's always time
we just keep making excuses
when we just pause to look it through and think
there's alot we can use
and alot we can do and achieve
we just have to know our limits and our capabilities
if you want it bad enough, you'll work for it
and i'm working full throttle

i think that i'm thinking too much

i even got my 2011 planner already today XP
have to start living in the present renyi....

there are so many things uncertain now
my violin lessons, driving lessons, percussion lessons
just because, as free as a SAF band musicians' life is, there's always a random event that'll cock up all your plans so you'll either waste your weekend, end later on a weekday, or end up with a free day with nothing to do
which constitutes to the frequent exchange of your free common times when everyone's free for uncommon times where everyone is not free

i have to start gaining back my momentum and confidence
no more self-pity!

the irony

the irony of this matter stared me in the face as i saw it all over tv screens and facebook photos and newpapers
it takes something out of the ordinary, something which screams and grabs your attention by the ear and throat
it is the pure exclusivity and primeness's of things to make people go "wow!"
and without realizing it people do not notice that such things are around us all the time
simply because they are highly publicised, renowed, and already taken much notice of that more people take notice of it
yes yes i know how amazingly rare an opportunity such as the "first ever youth Olympic games are held in singapore
yes yes i'm perfectly aware that it takes place "once-in-a-lifetime"
but you don't have to look too hard to see an event which takes place"once-in-a-lifetime"
and it would be as awesome as well
what could possibly parallel the first YOG you may be sneeringly question me
oh i dunno, how about spending time with your family?
oh oh, spending time with god?
oh i know, doing something selfless and sacrificing for the less fortunate?
how often do these occur for some? hmmm...
these are endless "once-in-a-lifetime" events that are taking place, as well as COULD take place
if you gave it the effort, time, and love
everything which happens in your life today could jolly well BE a "once-in-a-lifetime" event
and any one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" event could jolly well BE as incredible as the YOG
OR
you could make a decision, do something which WOULD result in a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity
and that's the beauty of what we all have

whoo! stay in period has ended!
and yet i feel like perma staying in to get more sleep XP

howdy folks, how has the rush and flurry of school and worklife splattered across the past 3 weeks?
stay in period was definitely alotta fun and excitement
in my opinion also the most slack one with all the off-days and half-days
still it was kinda awesome how living under the same roof bonds people
haha, chalet XD
alot has been learnt too:
dont forget to sign in/sign out
how to get ppl to scan your 11B
there's alotta practice time : don't waste it
stop using those crappy cheap sticks i got, use the super nice looking new ones
don't play too much psp!
taboo is an all-round exciting game XD
guitar playing at night makes you sleep late XP
in parade don't blur or stone XP
collar dots are very easy to lose XPXPXP
i need to install more memory to memorise all the scores i get XP
stick control and rudiments are very crucial
no matter how fast you walk, you'll sweat when you go from one place to another in camp
plasters help you with the blisters you get while playing drums XP
self-timing is very important
HQBO and CBO are quite slack
lastly, always with civi with you unless you wanna walk back to bunk while everyone else book out straight XPXPXPXPXP

the past 3 weeks also had pohzy's syco concert!
and the philwinds concert which "eh hem" XD

these 3 weeks were quite full of stuffs
GOH at MINDEF for some coa
POC at istana
numerous NDP rehearsals
and of course, NDP next monday!
and the September COG parade on sept 5
if anyone wants to catch me in parade please come support =)
i'll be in no.1 uniform and playing snare drum

one thing about band
you're free when no one else is
which totally sucks....
its like trading your common free times for the very uncommon free times
and yet everyone says band is so gd cos of our off days
in some ways yes, but also in those ways no

whenever i hear my juniors and the rest in JC and sec school doing Os and As struggling i get so worried...
just jiayou everyone, no matter what happens everyone gets through it all, so you will too!

too many things have gone by!

firstly, as of today im no longer a trainee
im a certified Musician =)
yup, musician's badge and all
after this week, stay in begins...zzz
haha, so another period of no updates folks

the past month has seen the hectic and jacked up side of SAF band
with saf day and ndp rehearsals
our exams and all, phew, gd thing we're getting off days

meanwhile, nick and pohyih haved POP-ed!
hope pohyih gets into band!
also, june has finished some of my final thinking plans
tuition, driving, piano, writing down my songs and teaching guitar
man, i need a bigger budget XP

thinking....about CRYSI-Z concert!

i don't have to be a big time rock star
or a popular movie star
don't have to become a renowned athlete
or a widely celebrated wiseman
to inspire or aspire

there seems to be no end of people who i'm in awe of
musicians
sportsmen
celebrities
seniors
peers
and they always leave me thinking, "hey, i want to do something like that too!"
and i would be saturated with high spirits and motivational energy, propelling towards attempting new stuffs
and...more often than desired, i give up halfway XP

take learning the piano as one example
initially i started with afew songs
i finished River Flows In You, and 90% of Secret
but other songs....lets just say they they're unfinished
and it reminds me of my songs that i haven't finished writing
and it's because i just "lost the feeling and desire to finish it"

listening to some old songs which i used to listen to in sec school was...enlightening?
i was reminded of the enthusiasm i had, together with CRYSI-Z and all
writing songs about anything and everything before after, in between lessons (Recess!)
we had many funny ideas and hilarious concepts for music videos and lyrics
and Lurvesick was supposedly our first self-made album to be shared within our group of friends
although that album is far from reality, we had our own first 'gig' in '08 =)
though we have alot to improve and we lacked alot of stuff, i'd say we're doing just fine
and just 2 weeks ago when i met yc to pass him some army stuff, the idea just hit me in the face
"hey, how about we do it all again, as a return of CRYSI-Z, ORD concert after we finish NS?"
awesomeness right?
haha, yupyup

my plan is that, since we've got another....double digit months, it should be than enough time to chose/write songs
then in dec 2012 when we ORD, we'll play again for our friends again
probably in another location, cos the "hole" at nick's house didnt have exactly gd sound atmosphere
maybe a studio?
and we'll have ryan as our techno man for photos and videos!
and maybe get some REAL gigs =)

lots of ideas are like, popping in my mind everyday
that i just have to get a notebook to jot them all down
everyday brings something new and mind-blowing....dam
can't wait!

looking back at old stuffs may be a waste of time for others
but i think i simply relish in the memories of yesteryear

so far my life now is basically saf band, church, legion meeting, MUSIC

legion meeting as usual, got a new member called kevin! awesome =)
and as for church on sunday, i started bringing my guitar again, and our meetings are starting off again with a possible new member too!

then went for zhiwen's aumni dinner at Marche, 313
a really really really really nice place....

31st College Day

today was certainly one of the most joy filled days in so many days =)
31st College Day
got to see my classmates+schoolmates!

had a really gd chat about everything =)
the moment walking on stage was really glorious
never had i the chance to go up on stage to receive an award, not even from sec or pri school
it was always for performances or emcee or whatever
i really wish i can see the others like POHZY go up next year =)
POHZY DO YOU HEAR ME? BETTER GET ON HONOUR ROLL AH!!
really proud of them for getting CCA award =) wish i had the chance like them too XP

when jamie went up to give her speech, she said think back to the first day of NYJC...nostalgic....
we were naive and ignorant....wouldnt even have thought where we'd end up
the journey was the most important, the ending is just what happened =)

first on friday we all went back early cos of tailoring(yay ttm)
then talking talking realised that leoson lived on the next street to me O_O
what the heck....and yet all those mornings i never once saw him....or on the way back...

she's teaching at her old sec school Mayflower
which i pass by every morning on 169 too....which she takes too...from amk inter too...
and i thought the world was small and singapore smaller.....
how can i have missed seeing them both???
maybe it's just that im half dead on the way to camp in the mornings...zzz

the trainings and challenges, gone through with buddies and our commanders
it forges feelings which i dearly miss now....

and it is this group which can only be the magic that is my BMTC experience

this one's for NYCO!
because my hongkong trip post is also waaaay overdue XP
and i can't get to sleep...zzz

pictures are plentiful for the whole trip
videos too
which i'll upload when my camcorder and laptop stops giving me trouble
from fireworks, cable car and open-top buses
ouch, the last one brings back bad memories..

day 1
epic, travelling by plane to hongkong, and bus to our hotel
bunking with pohzy and junyuan
wasn't bad, actually it was non stop laughs
joking about everything from clothes to the adult films on the tv
first meal was great with...corn soup!
haha, everyone was high and speaking as much canto as possible
J2s rock man!
practice in the hotel was...hectic?
in the ballroom...okay, we had to make do
even the instruments....wow, i suddenly appreciate MSHS yangqins alot more XD
at night was a trip to Avenue of Stars, watching the night laser show and seeing the handprints of stars
interesting sights and photo-taking with a baby and a wedding couple XD

day 2

guess where we went?
breakfast was laughable at the cha chan ting
set meals of macoroni and stuff
most memorable moment:
the lady came over "!!!!!!!!!!!"

haha, epic
hmmm....fascinating fact: our sweaters were shedding XD
skotchtape anyone?
the elements were against us too
taking refuge in the tent was...cramped
but we were still quite high
besides afew accidents, Mr Tan Jun Yuan managed to lead us to a reasonable performance =)
then...a whole day of frolicking!
space mountain, drummers, shows, disney characters, heart glasses, expensive stuffs, rides!
and the finale of unbelievable fireworks
don't forget to get presents!

day 3
CO exchange at Tsuen Wan Government Sec School
ok...so we were all quite hassled and hurried
but the performance was quite gd, esp the solos
and after the whole thing you cant imagine how many photos were taken
everyone just running here and there

friendships forged and times to be remembered =)
next was shopping at ladies' street
yeah...not exactly gd place to shop XD
but got a pair of shoes there, and a belt

the bus ride itself was like some amusement park ride XD

and when mr lee announced, hey you're free, no lights out time

welcome to staying up all night people =)

the only bad thing was that my camera had to magically make my memory card disappear...

day 4
still slightly depressed
but hey, recovered abit the night before
wasn't gonna spoil the day for the rest

more shopping at this even better location
got a bag, jeans, and quite afew items
more sightseeing that day
at the wax museum, mass photo-takings
and the chilling SCREAM which lorraine like....nothing XP
the up to Victoria Peak, Peak Tower
just amazing....if we could see anything up in the clouds
picture takings again
despite the freezing winds, we were still quite high
the tram ride was also quite....something
at night was the less than great shopping at the high end district XD
still quite enjoayble though
ended up in the music shop

day 5
last day
more sight-seeing
temples, homes of the stars
mac-copter and stuff XD
oh man, gotta love the cable car rides =)
quite some sights up there
and the moments were priceless
esp the one on the way back, we had gone crazy or something XD
with chun hao laura poh yih hui quan wen leng zihui
we kept waving the the opposite cars
and bobo was like, sickness XD
at the peak was the buddha
and more pictures!
with vegetarian meals and all
last minute shopping at the Factory Outlet
not alot to buy
haha, couldnt get last minute presents XP
still, quite alot to see
watches, shoes, crocs, sweets and stuff
i miss aji ichiban!!
and ayah, missed going to the subway and eating cookies
the best last moments were farewell to bobo
and the flight back
we were so restless that we were snapping pictures at the back, the plane cabin
doing maths maclaurin's XD
seeing out the windows, playing charades with pohzy weely weijian junyuan
and some final photos on starbucks clique...=)

although i wrote notes to everyone on the plane, still got some words to say

miss tan：it's unbelievable that you're still so close to NYCO, thanks for all the support, funny moments and being...just you =)

mrs lee: your humor is the most unbelievable, the jokes at dinner and shopping are hard to forget! it was fun having you along with us on the trip =)

NYCO been a awesome journey, the goods and the bads
definitely don’t regret quitting judo back in J1
and not staying in guitar ensemble…which isn’t much now also XP
NYCO is definitely one of the things which keep me going throughout the whole JC road
these 2 years would surely never have been as great or exciting
so…thank god for NYCO =)

I realized how much it all meant to me
all the people whom I’ve met, got along, went through the odds, and enjoyed being with
the pictures which I took where so priceless to me that I was so crushed that night

then ryan and yc on 1st jan, played 4 hrs of L4D 2
im so happy that despite 60% of us in CJC and 40% in NY
we're still so close

don't be sad that it's over
or that it is missed
smile that it happened
every camp is different
it's end means there's a new one, the next one
what matters is the time spent with friends
time spent remembering god and praying
time where we learnt and grew stronger
time where we changed
no matter who we see every year
time will always bring some away
but new ones come along as well
and i feel that it is our job to welcome them to our legion family
as legionaries and christians, we have to bring each and everyone to God
and remind the rest of us that Mary is our mother, and refresh our relationship with God
taking a break from our busy lives we have had in the year
preparing us and equipping us for our mission and job in Legion
for all the rest, we can only stay strong and continue praying
don't worry and don't be sad, for God has a plan for us all
just have faith and be strong in prayer =)

after the A lvls, JXY has given me time to pray
which im so thankful for
and i hope that i can continue to do work

with the low standard of papers this year,
A grade may be raised, making it worse XP

everything anticipated for chem, maths and physics almost all never came out

A for Maths =)
onto trying to get at least C for econs XP

week one wasn't so bad with the exception of GP
but like some said, if all fail, then they'll make all pass XD
cant have half of singapore fail A lvls right? lol
somehow i've lost alotta steam
i actually spent the rest of 2day PLAYING
tut tut, a big nono
2morow theres econs....should i go?
and theres also physics...
physics and econs are the 2 subjects im quite worried about, my 2 weakest subjects
so....quite scared for them
have to find time to submit my last case next week

with all the flurry and comments on facebook
no doubt everyone's uptight
and yet we have the time to use the computer
like right now XD
the period before the As are killer
but i guess the As period is alotta more relaxing than expected

oh....
had a bad headache last night, couldnt finish revision
scared i couldnt sit for the paper

scared
im really scared
my hands are trembling moderately uncontrollably
never felt this fear before
even when i got into trouble
or even for O lvls
was more prepared for Os i guess
the work's been done, the mistakes been made
but when it boils down i really cant imagine what next year mid feb when be like
staring at my targets, they suddenly feel so far away...

it is simultaneously comforting and crushing
it matters not the grade but the effort behind the grade

been looking back at my past posts
some quite interesting
some plain BORING
and most fascinatingly, 2 years ago this day i just twisted my ankle really bad when skateboarding
literally hopped my way home, as well as around the house for the next couple of days...

what's same about now and 2 years back?
let's list them shall we?
when i started my blog, i was a perfect example of a "no-no"
it was like, the midst of prelims at sec 4!
haha, back then didnt really know what to call my blog and just whacked out this name
now, I'm still in the midst of prelims...A lvl prelims!
so it's O and A lvl prelims..

what's different?
ok, this is where things start to get more interesting!
now CRYSI-Z is in different schools...but still STRONG =)
watch out A's, we're gonna beat you flat like O's!
I'm blogging on my, laptop?, ok, notebook
compared to the desktop i was once confined to, sharing with a brother and sister XP
and i've got a phone finally after O lvls last year
so my phone's 2 years old
was the first phone i saw when i stepped into that starhub store
haha, seemed pretty nice, so just got it
then my brother and sister also got the same phone, only different color XD
we had the whole set, black red pink E65
now my calculator's this $143 instrument capable of graphing and drawing and all sorts
not to mention play super mario
compared with the $17 dollar one in sec school
with one game that's actually the test check!
i've got a new acoustic guitar for my birthday last year
upgrade from the old classical one mary-jiejie gave me last time
so now i can plug in amplifier to jam =)
i'm smarter, faster, stronger
and in some ways, dumber
but still, hey, I'm legally 18 =)
and when CRYSI-Z is done with A's, our sleepovers are gonna overload on the awesomeness =)
don't forget the gigs!!
can't really say much about other things since im quite tired
and tomorrow's chemistry paper 2 which im really banking to get my A!(hopefully..)
so i'll e-l-a-b-o-r-a-t-e some other time after prelims
all in all, it's been quite a 180 degree swing around life

with 83 days left to the A's this is the progress thus far
maths weak in differential equations, integration, and functions XP
vectors graphing and complex slightly dangerous
for chem surprisingly my organic is weak, followed by electrochem and ionic equilibrium and entrophy
haha, my inorganic now stronger than organic XD how ironic
weak in everything for physics as obvious, i dont know how to answer questions
economics will be a struggle...starting from scratch in the special class in lectures now, but its really informative, back to basics, gd for me
gp is kinda a dice roll, which should be, so should read more now
and argue with my sister some more XD

was waiting for photos, finally got 2!

cut short of the CO interviews for night cycling (darn missed haoqi's)
was running real late, took 135 and super scared I’ll be late and cant join night cycling!!
Haha, but when reached there we took quite awhile to set off!
ryan was my facilitator! Haha, and I was the only J2 in my group XD

i think I didn’t rest at all, talking all the time XD went quite crazy with tai soon even before setting off

Brian's Essay: The Room...
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order.

But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it,seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. For every sin we make, is a sacrifice of his blood. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'-Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' If you feel the same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also My 'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

still quite dead from chalet...
haha, but it was fun
first day went to brendon's house and play abit with ps3 and cookie XD
then set off, daji wanted to go play pool...
went cycling
reached chalet later and played volleyball XP changed to monkey
at bbq time passed slowly...but it was enjoyable =)
marshmellows, singing songs, playing cards, chatting
stayed up the whole night talking with julian, laughing also
then went to have breakfast at macs at 4am
julian walked cos his knee was hurt
come back, everyone pretty much stoned
qi mian and gang stayed up also playing uno and super-sadistic blackjack
went to parkway for lunch @ subway

was pretty much a zombie by then
veron was telling me to sleep abit, but in the end stayed up the second night also XD
got back played and won at mahjong XD
then went back to parkway again for dinner....zzzz
night was cycling
yong siang just drove me nuts about going to changi to cycle
in the end ziyang went with him and got chased by dogs XD mr nice guy!
was at the food court with zihui and qimian for couple hrs eating and talking

then brought the others to macs to stone XD
then back again and more talking with zihui and qimain
last day zihui was panicking about her windsurfing
went to parkway for breakfast with qimian and sent zihui home to get her stuffs
60+ hrs awake!
ended the day with p & w practice at church with jon and joshua

2day went to school to shoot stuff for ava's latest program
took quite long, but got alotta stuff done
and got to know some ava ppl XD
had an awesome time jamming with matt...totally...

then dropped by CO afterwards and passed ziyang his concert ticket money
ended up conducting for 瑶族舞曲
i seriously hate pan yao tian's version, so overly stupid, dumb and stupid, did i mention stupid?
messy, but cant be helped

then rushed off again to church to prepare the songs for 2morow's confi camp

haha, as usual, got alotta stuff done and had a gd time, although quite tired...

would really be going if it weren't for swine flu..
o wells, at least i'll be going for SYCO concert!
and i might still be able to go in december, with ziyang and junyuan too!

the holidays just kicked in and so far ...
sunday went to leticia's birthday!
monday went to Sentosa with 0916
tues finished a song (phew)
wed watched monsters vs aliens with chun leong!
thurs (today) i've already finished 2 chapters of maths! thank you thank you
2MOROW is DAY OUT with PERCUSSION!
and sat is SYCO CONCERT!
im finally going for meeting on sunday!
next mon-wed is CO chalet!
12-14 is confirmation camp!
18th is ice-skating with GROUP 4!
26th is NS checkup and TPY CONCERT!
and MID-YEARS are after the holidays!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Qing Gong Yan~!
went to LT first for video!
and then me and chen laoshi performed XD yurgh, not as gd as i'd hoped XP
cards for the teachers!
and cards for every member =)
i made laminated cards for everyone =)
ziyang gave us photos!
we gave a card to wu laoshi =)
haha, and i bought the board for yuen fann's card
eating a vegetarian buffet plus carnivorean ale carte XD
cake and group photo!

2.5 weeks late post

May 6th 2009

morning of SYF was raining!
planned to have breakfast but our SL came one hr late XD
then CO room blacked out, no air-con
stoned...
power came back later
the girl's make-up made them all pale in the dark XD
alumni came, and tog with the teachers they all wore RED
haha, ate bread and honey stars on the bus there
listened to PJC play丰年祭 backstage
minutes b4 our turn was just !!!
alina cried, but we cheered her and everyone else on =)
the senoirs were great, encouraging us, joking with us
was still nervous
up on stage, kept whispering gd luck!
performance was in-des-crib-a-ble
and it was all over in 8 minutes
but it felt great =) both on and off stage
back to school with the instruments
then stoned...cos was very tired...
then poh yih playing marimba...the string broke but fixed it XD
went to AMK to eat Ichiban sushi
chen laoshi was talking about her vegetarian sushi
and miss tan showed us chem skill A...zzz
then macs for ice cream
way back to SCH...was slow?
MRT ride was noisy XD
waiting outside the hall...the atmostphere was electric
results came..
No 6 南初华乐， NYJC 。。。荣誉金 GWH!!!
according to inside, they were screaming at 荣!!!
cheering!!! singing!!!
bus ride back was insane XD
cheered our way into the school

really really tired out
went back with brendon on 135...
the next day seriously no mood for lessons
only one thing on my mind: GWH!!

i pray that i may never forget this
